Isabele Thank You Letter Whatuwhiwhi snorkling

Dear Isabel,

On Behalf of our school, I would like to say thank you for teaching Te Manga and Te Kauru (my class) about how to snorkel and the EMR program you run so smoothly. We all enjoyed Experiencing Marine Reserves even though we weren't at one.

The BEST part about going to Whatuwhiwhi was snorkelling and playing in the sand. On the beach, I saw HEAPS of cool stuff. The coolest object that caught my eye, was the Crab and Snapper skeletons that washed up on the beach. They looked SOO cool.

In the water, the seaweed touched me during all the movement. I screamed thinking a weird fish nibbled me only to see that I was overreacting about nothing. A little bit later, I dived down as deep as I could considering my wet suit was full of air and saw a really fast but long fish ZOOM out of the murky seaweed. Jasmine and I thought it was a Piper but I wasn’t too sure since I didn’t get a very good glimpse of the rocketing fish. I saw my first snapper and a lot of spotties and common triplefins and 1 Kina or Sea Urchin.

Again thank you for taking us on this amazing trip. I learnt a lot of cool facts like don’t scream and ever overreact about nothing.

Sincerely yours,

Paige.
